How to Import in 5 Steps
Export your registrant data from Devpost
Open your hackathon on Devpost and navigate to the Metrics section to download the registrant report.
- Go to your Devpost hackathon dashboard
- Click Manage hackathon then Metrics
- Under "Export submission and registrant data," select Registrant data report
- Click Generate report, then Download report
If you added custom registration questions on Devpost, those responses will appear as additional columns in the CSV export.
Create your event on HackHQ
If you haven't already, create your hackathon event on HackHQ. Set up your event details, schedule, judging criteria, and submission requirements.

Upload the CSV file
In your HackHQ event dashboard, go to the Participants section and start the import process.
- Open your event's Manage > Participants page
- Click Import
- Drag and drop your Devpost CSV file or click to browse
