Import Eventbrite Attendees
into HackHQ

Export your Eventbrite attendee report as a CSV and import participants into HackHQ in minutes. No API integration needed - just a simple CSV upload.

No API Integration Needed

Eventbrite's built-in attendee report can be downloaded as a CSV directly from your event dashboard. This guide uses that standard export - no API keys or third-party tools required.

How to Import in 5 Steps

1

Export your attendee list from Eventbrite

Open your event on Eventbrite and download the attendee report.

  1. Go to your Eventbrite event dashboard
  2. Navigate to Analyze and select Event Reports
  3. Open the Attendee Summary report
  4. Click Export and choose CSV
  5. Save the CSV file to your computer

Eventbrite exports separate first and last name columns. HackHQ automatically combines them into a full name during import.

2

Create your event on HackHQ

If you haven't already, create your hackathon event on HackHQ. Set up your event details, schedule, judging criteria, and submission requirements.

Takes about 30 minutes to configure everything

You can import participants at any point - before or after event setup

3

Upload the CSV file

In your HackHQ event dashboard, go to the Participants section and start the import process.

  1. Open your event's Manage > Participants page
  2. Click Import
  3. Drag and drop your Eventbrite CSV file or click to browse
4

Map columns and review

HackHQ auto-detects standard fields from your Eventbrite export. Review the suggested mappings and adjust any custom fields as needed.

Name and email columns are detected automatically

Duplicates are flagged so you can review them

5

Confirm and start your hackathon

Review the import summary and confirm. Your Eventbrite attendees are now HackHQ participants, ready for submissions, judging, and live results.

Once imported, participants can submit projects and your judges can score them - all from one platform with transparent live results.
