Your Project Page
View, edit, and share your hackathon submission on HackHQ. Understand the difference between your private manage page and public share page.
Every submission on HackHQ gets a dedicated project page. After submitting, you'll receive an email with a link to your page. No HackHQ account is needed to access it.
Your project has two versions: a manage page (private, for you) and a share page (public, for sharing).
Manage page
This is the link you receive by email. It's your private page for managing your submission.
From the manage page, you can:
- View your full submission: project description, custom field responses with embedded videos and links, and team members
- Edit your submission while submissions are open, using the Edit Submission button
- See awards won after results are published, displayed with gold, silver, and bronze badges
- Access certificates for each team member with Add to LinkedIn buttons (see Certificates)
- Share externally: Copy a read-only link to share your project with others
A banner at the top reminds you this is your private management link. Use Share Externally when sharing with others to avoid exposing edit access.
What's on the manage page
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Project Description | Your project name, description, and custom field responses |
| Additional Details | URL fields with embedded YouTube/Loom videos and GitHub repos |
| Team Members | All team members with names, emails, and roles |
| Awards | Badges for any awards won (visible after results are published) |
| Certificates | Per-member LinkedIn and verification links (after results) |
| Event Details | Event name, venue, organizer, and link to the event page |
| Categories | Which competitions your project is entered in |
| Status | Submission date and whether editing is still available |
Share page
The share page is a read-only view of your project, safe to share publicly.
The share page shows:
- Project description and custom field responses with embeds
- Awards won (if results are published)
- Event details and competition categories
- Team member names and roles (without email addresses)
The share page intentionally does not include:
- Email addresses
- Edit access
- Certificates or LinkedIn buttons
This makes it safe to post on social media, add to your portfolio, or share with employers.
Both your manage page and share page are unlisted links. They are not indexed by search engines. Only people you share the link with can access them.
Getting back to your project
If you can't find the email with your project link:
- Check your spam/junk folder for an email from HackHQ
- Ask your event organizer; they can access your project from the submissions dashboard and resend the link
